In 1959, the National Fraternities of Phi Kappa and Theta Kappa Phi merged.  This picture was the first taken of the merged fraternity on the University of Illinois campus.  It was taken on the lawn of the Chapter House at 310 Chalmers Street, Champaign, Illinois, in the spring of 1959.    The Chapter mascot, Boris, occupies a prominent position.
